How to get a nextar gps really cheap
Wow did I save big on purchasing a Nextar GPS. Here is a shot of what my winning bid was. See how much you can save on something you might want. This item was not the only item that is up for bids daily. Who knows how much you can save. I saved quite a bit.
I had just gotten home from work, and signed into tripleclicks to see what was going on, and see if there was something I might like to have. The bid was already up to 5.71 by the time I noticed that the nextar gps portable was on the auction block. Since I had some credits built up, I decided to see if I could possibly win it.
I'm not sure how long the auction had been running for before I got in. But the bidding was hot. I waited a little while and only placed a couple of bids to test how hot it really was. I also paid a bit of attention to the bid log to see if there were repeat bidders. Seemed like there were a few repeat bids.
Placed a couple more bids, and noticed that one person was bidding almost right after my bid. This can be a sign that either someone is sitting there monitoring the auction, and manually placing bids, or they have an auto bid turned on.
A few others joined in, but their bids were sporadic. So I decided to put in an auto bid for a bit. I made sure I had at least 200 credits in my account to place bids with first. I started my first auto bid at 6.00 and set it to end at 6.50, max bid of 50 credits. When that ran its course, took about 15 mins. I submitted a couple of manual bids, then a couple more. Just to test the waters to see if I scared anyone off yet. It looked like some of the heavy bidders were either sitting back and waiting to see If I was going to drop out of the bid war, so I set my auto bidder to 7.00 to a max of 7.50
with a max bid of 50 credits again. My bid was triggered. Looked like I was going to be sitting for a while watching.
Low and behold, I won when it hit 7.23.. Can't wait to see it. I've always wanted a gps, but found them kinda pricy.
Total cost of bids 80 credits x .29 = 23.20 + 7.26 (you have to pay the winning price)= 30.46 U.S. Dollars
For me as a Canadian, thanks to the exchange rate, I managed to save a bit more since the Canadian Dollar is worth a bit more these days. There are no shipping charges on the auction items. So guess what, I saved big.
